Our Feb trip out to Canada was a brilliant one this year with amazing snow conditions. We flew to
Calgary and drove down to Castle Mountain for our first visit there before moving on to Rossland and Red Mountain where we
had powder conditions everyday and also spent a day out with Big Red Cats.
While based at the beautiful Rams Head Inn at Red we drove across the border to 49' North in Washington
state for the day and also had our annual day to Whitewater where we again had a superb powder day.
It was sad to leave this corner of BC but we had a fine drive over to Vancouver and up to Whistler
where we spent 3 nights. We had good snow and then clear skys and had a fine time on both Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains.
It was then on down to the city where we stayed in the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel which is just opposite Canada place. We had
a lovely few days here and spent some time visiting the Capilano suspension bridge and Grouse Mountain. It was good to meet
up with Al and Cath for Dinner and then to be entertained by them at their lovely house in Port Moody before we went to the
Hockey at GM Place to see the Vancouver Canucks take on the St.Louis Blues. The result was not what we wanted though !
